How long have you been a proposal manager/specialist/ writer? Fulltime for 3 months, part-time for 4 years.
How did you become involved with proposals? Part of my marketing responsibilities.
Do you work in a "corporate office" or "home office" environment? Corporate office.
What do you like best about working in your current environment? Warm, friendly, caring people.
What do you like least? Inefficiencies and outdated practices of many of those warm, friendly, caring people.
What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your job? Updating the marketing and business practices of my company.
What shortcuts or helpful best practices about working with proposal teams could you share? I am eager to learn from other members. Not sure I have much to share at this time.
Why/when did you join APMP? To learn.
What is your method for successfully working with your proposal teams? Communication is key to our small team.
Which type of proposals do you do most? Commercial, government or other? College/university as well as state and local governments. Federal is rare. Commercial is exceedingly rare.
